Local Communities Online (LCO) has a chance to bring communities together though online local news, online magazines that publish interesting, informative and enlightening columns written by the "Local Insiders.”

LCO has, through its website www.vegascommunityonline.com (VCO) succeeded in uniting the Las Vegas community, thanks to the efforts of over 120 "Vegas Insider" contributing columnists, none of whom are paid. (In fact, some columnists pay to have a presence on VCO as a sponsor-columnist.)

Many of these sponsor-columnists have expressed pleasure with the results they’ve gotten from VCO and, if you wish, we can share these unsolicited testimonials with you Meanwhile, when you look at the range of participants on the site, you can clearly see that our appeal is to a diverse local population with a myriad interests.

What also sets Vegas Community Online apart from any other community website is that, while those websites merely report the news, VCO’s information comes from the insiders who live the news.

This same format will work with all the “Local Communities Online.”

For expanded revenue streams, VCO is going to launch a radio show and a print magazine. This will give advertisers more than one venue with which to get out word of their product or service. The magazine will be distributed across the region at no charge.

Building on our success in Las Vegas, Communities Online will expand to other cities.

TARGET MARKET:

Our target market is a broad one and, though we appeal to adults, we are an interest-based website. In other words, if a site visitor wants a review of a local show, or to learn what local politicians are up to or, perhaps, what events are coming up, they will learn from their first visit that VCO is the one place they can get all of their local information. It becomes a tool for making the components of daily life in Las Vegas easily accessible. If a resident has a question about what’s going on, we have the answer.

WEBSITE PLAN:

Phase II will begin with a total revamp of the website, giving it a more magazine-style look that we will import to use in other cities, giving Local Communities Online a common look through out the country.

The addition of more videos will help to encourage the visitor to stay on the website longer.

A search engine will be added to help the reader find the precise content in which he or she is interested.

Other features — a stock ticker, opinion polls, local traffic and news updates — will be included will add to the “stickiness” factor.

LCO will require columnists to pay a small monthly administrative fee. That, too, will add to our bottom line.

LCO WEBSITES PLAN:

Virtual offices can be opened around the country using the same budget (less the website template). Franchising can be an alternative plan.

ADVERTISING PLAN

TV and radio advertising will be placed immediately along with an online marketing plan using website-building services that increase traffic. Large traffic numbers = Large Advertising dollars.

KEYS TO SUCCESS:

* Bringing Insider info to each Community
* No competition
* Columnists enjoy writing, are seeing their profiles raised as a result and are beginning to advertise
* Free Giveaways
* Forging local partnerships
* Uniting a community by making the LCO websites a place where people will want to visit daily
* LCO will be available in several other languages.

IN CONCLUSION:

We believe the Vegas Community Online website and other LCO websites, can be THE place where “Locals Start Their Day.” We will also be attracting more advertising by being available in multiple media — online, on the stands and on radio.

Ads will be sold in packages for either "online," radio or "on the stands" ads to allow the advertiser three types of outlets to choose from.
